As discussed during the October 21, 2025, Riverwalk Academy Board of Directors meeting and shared in both the Board Recap and on our website, the Riverwalk Academy Board currently has a vacancy following the resignation of Mr. Willis, one of our elected board members.
In accordance with the Board’s bylaws, this seat must be filled through a special election to serve for the remainder of the original term, which runs through June 30, 2026.
A call for nominations opened on October 21, and one candidate submitted a completed profile for consideration. The candidate’s profile is included below (and linked here).
As a reminder, Riverwalk Academy partners with the Public Charter School Alliance of South Carolina (PCSASC) to manage our board elections. On Thursday morning, around 8:00 AM, families and staff will receive an email from PCSASC Elections (noreply@electionrunner.com). This message will include your unique Voter ID and Voter Key, which are required to cast your vote.
Please note that the voting email will be sent to the primary guardian's email address listed in PowerSchool.
Voting opens at 8:00 AM on Thursday and closes at 8:00 PM on that same evening. Election results will be shared in Sunday’s Riverwalk Roar.
