Riverwalk Academy is proud to announce that Alyssa Long, STEM educator, has been awarded a $1,000 Bright Ideas Grant from York Electric Cooperative. The grant will fund her innovative classroom project, “Robots in the Classroom: Building Future Innovators.”
The Bright Ideas Grant Program recognizes teachers who bring creativity, engagement, and hands-on learning into their classrooms. Mrs. Long’s project will give students the opportunity to explore robotics, coding, and STEM design, helping them develop critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through real-world applications of technology.
“I’m so excited to bring these new tools into our STEM classroom,” said Alyssa Long. “This grant allows my students to explore robotics and coding in a hands-on way that builds their creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. I can’t wait to see their faces light up as they start designing, programming, and bringing their ideas to life!”
Riverwalk Academy celebrates Mrs. Long’s commitment to fostering curiosity and innovation in her students. The school extends its gratitude to York Electric Cooperative for its continued support of educators who inspire the next generation of thinkers, creators, and innovators.
