Ms. Wilson — Elementary Staff Member of the Month
As a kindergarten teacher, Ms. Wilson works tirelessly for her students, and it shows in every part of her day. A colleague shared: "If I see her in the hallway, she is correcting behaviors and modeling in a respectful way for her students." Always meeting students where they are and finding creative ways to teach, Ms. Wilson exemplifies our commitment to treating every child with respect and fairness so we can fully invest in each one based on their individual needs.
Dr. Dempsey — Middle School Staff Member of the Month
As our Dean of Instruction, Dr. Dempsey is always there for her staff, taking the time to listen and offer thoughtful guidance, including on navigating student behavior challenges. A colleague shared: "I have learned a lot from her and her guidance helps me continue to grow as an educator." She even stepped up to help lead our staff Sunshine Committee, making sure our team feels valued. Dr. Dempsey shows every day what it means to invest in the people who serve our students.
Ms. Slifer — High School Staff Member of the Month
As a high school special education teacher, Ms. Slifer is the colleague everyone hopes to have down the hall. As one teammate noted: "Liz is always a willing ear to listen or bounce ideas off of." Her thoughtful input helps her colleagues troubleshoot and find better ways to support students, a true reflection of our commitment to each other through collaboration, preparation, and feedback.
